How are we graded?

GOOD PUNCTUATION, SPELLING AND GRAMMAR ARE REQUIRED FOR ALL ANSWERS!!!

Level 4 / A & A* / 9-10 marks

This level usually applies when a balanced answer is required i.e. you have to give an answer which reflects an understanding that the evidence can be used to answer the question in more than one way.

Level 3 / A,B,C / 6-8 marks

The candidate is able towrite one or two paragraphs in response to the question. The answer is coherent (logical/makes sense) and contains three or more pieces of supporting evidence in support of their explanation.

Level 2 / D & E / 3-5 marks

A more substantial answer that has one or two relevant pieces of supporting evidence.

Level 1 / F & G / 1-2 marks

Simple answer that has no supporting evidence.
